Prodromos- Panagia Kontiani Monastery
The deserted Monastery of Panagia Kontiani is located just five minutes on foot to the west of the village of Prodromos and only the church remains in good condition. The monastery, which was built in the 16th century, is dedicated to the Presentation of the Virgin Mary and was owned by the Agia Kyriaki monastery in Lefkes. It was named Kontiani (near in Greek) because of its proximity to the village.
